Why wait for the right tool when you can start with a good one. I have seen this in the past where people keep waiting for perfection and forget the benefit of make a great mistake. Its all about crawling and getting thing to start working together in little ways so they can start working together in the big vision.
If I was a programmer. I would look to learning how to calibrate the environment. Start understanding the desk of the office and how ARUI could improve things. What could we bring to the desk that the GUI of desktop or laptop fails to provide. Where do you look to stimulate that idea. Consider if you had 3 screen what would you put on those screens.
Let your imagination flow and define what you want. Consider what other people might want and need.
